Title: No Bake Cheesecake
Post by: addicted to ice fishing on Oct 20, 2012, 12:03 AM
Ok, this is not a recipe to make on the ice, but you can make it in 30 minutes the night before, and take it with you.

Here is a list of ingrediants.

Crust
1 stick of butter
2 - 3 cups graham cracker crumbs
1.5 - 2 cups white sugar

Filling
2 8 oz pkgs Philadelphia cream cheese
2 8 oz containers of cool whip
2.5 - 3 cups powdered sugar
2 cans pie filling blueberry, strawberry, apple etc..

Melt butter, and mix with graham crackers and sugar. Mix well, pat in the bottom of 13x9 pan.  Crust is done.

Mix all of filling ingredients except pie filling, together using a mixer.  Mix until smooth.  Put on top of crust,  put pie filling on top, refridgerate.  The variable measurements are for your taste, do you like a thicker or thinner crust.  Sweeter, or not as sweet?  I never use a reccipe any more, just mix, and taste, and go from there.

Enjoy!

If you want to,  you can do 1/2 in one kind of topping,  the other 1/2 with a different topping.  Get the best of both worlds where the two toppings meet.

Also, if you can make it about 24 hours ahead of time, it allows all the flavors to blend together.  Makes it even better.

Like the vintage Old Milwaukee commercial, "It don't get any better than this". LOL.

I have never tried any pudding,  but it probably would work!   Hmm,  might have to try that,  chocolate, or maybe pistachio.  Thanks for the idea!

I've done cheesecake in the woods before why not on the ice.   Jello makes an instant cheesecake powder, just add milk whisk it up and let it set.  Oreo crumb and butter pie base is easy to do in the frypan. Just melt the butter stir in the crumbs and mold it to the pan.  Won't have to wait long for it to cool.  Chocolate cheesecake is simply a matter of adding some cocoa powder to the cheesecake powder.  Add some green creme de menthe to the cheesecake mix and voila grasshopper pie.
