Transducer float
« on: Mar 04, 2019, 10:55 AM »
Just wondering. For years been using Vexilar ice units. This season picked up a Humminbird unit. The ducer float unlike the float on my Vexilar units hangs kind of sideways in the hole. Solved the issue by getting a support arm, so is there some difference in what the floats are made out of? Maybe a silly question but inquiring minds want to know!

Yeah the vexilar is a different type of foam that is less buoyant. Cut 3/4 of the foam off the float, that's what I did and it works fine. I dont like using the float, but I set up an ice-hopper setup with my humminbird so I use the float with that.
