Hartland, Me, Moose Pond Is there ice yet?

Does anyone know if there is ice on Moose Pond in Hartland yet? And how thick is it?

yes there is, I was out there trapping bait a few days ago, 5-6" in the area I was in. the whole pond has been locked up for a couple weeks now, should be perfect for opening day!

When is opening day lol Im JUST starting after not having gone since I was 7 and Im still in the research phase. I have at least a week before my hand augur shows up

What area were you in? My cousin says its too thin to fish where his father's house is, and thats the east side of the pond leading into the outlet

How do you access the lake from that side? The only people I know to access the lake live on the south side of the lake or the public boat launch, also on the south side
