Well, i have been intrigued.  I am now going too, just not sure on which day.  I hope there is some ice between here and there to stop at on the way back, maybe little york lake if it stays cold.

Goodale is covered, Little York is still open on the main lake, Tully looked mostly covered (through the trees @ 75mph) Today on my way to work....11/24 @ 700am

I tend bar for the on-center for the hockey games and am trying to talk them into setting up at least one for this show. They're afraid due to the small list of vendors that it won't be worth it. Does anyone know if the number of vendors is correct on the web site? The St Paul list is huge but the Syracuse is rather short. Will Ice Gators be on display? I know a ton of guys that won't buy until they see one. If the tips are good I'm in the market.

Thanks.

If you can find a spot Friday after 5pm and all weekned on the street is free, parking lots are 5 to 6 bucks.

Make sure Y'all stop by and sign in at the booth. I'll be taking pics for the site as well. Pull up a bucket and chew the fat for a bit.

With shows of this size and even smaller shows, there's always been quite a bit of local advertising for at least a month prior to the shows.    So far with this show, there's really been little advertising except for the website which at this point, isn't even accurate and some local flyers being distributed.
With many big name ice fishing companies leading the way in hard water technology, you'd think that they'd be coming to the show to support their goods along with other big players in the ice fishing world who are also absent from the vendor and exhibitor lists.
I hope there's a lot of late major exhibitor sign ups, otherwise, this show might get flushed  :(

Right at the top of a Google search!  :P  Maybe it's our job to promote it - I know I've been doing my part.  Part of the problem here is that it's the last weekend of deer hunting season.

At trueblueicefishing.com I inquired who would be representing the True Blue Team at the Syracuse Ice Fishing Show, this is the response,

The last I herd it was not going to take place again this year (New York) ... Sounded like they jumped the gun with the press release, and didn't have enough vendors to make it work?

He also said he wasn't 100% sure...

Hopefully this isn't the lack of promotion ???

I'm going to do all in my power to get up there for this event. I go to school about an hour away, with some luck I'll get access to a car and show up atleast one day! I guess I'll have to dig into the beer fund to get new goodies!

I have been in contact with a majority of Vendors...It looks like this...due to the Major Ice Belt being 1000 miles away, certain vendors are NOT going to show up ???
This being said...Please make it a priority to make it to the SHOW!!!
Lack of support will justify their reluctancy to appear :-\
The price of parking is irrelevent...you have the internet and a computer... ???

Please...support your own CAUSE!!!!!!

TK99/99.5 FM is giving away tickets all week, and there is a grand prize winner at the end of the ticket giveaway. Dave Frisina is giving away tickets at noon every day with my 3 songs. I really don't need to win the tickets myself, but the ice fishing package sounds good. I just wonder what is "in" the package.

I just read this on trueblueicefishing.com

The rumors of the cancellation of the Syracuse, NY Ice Fishing Show is untrue. The show is a go. Dave Genz, Kody Seibert and I will be heading for New York immediateley after the St. Paul Ice Fishing Show. Anyone in the area, stop in and say hi.

Click on the banner ad at the top of the page. There's maps and directions.

I met Dave Gentz at a show a few years ago. He was as nice a guy as you'd ever meet. Very friendly and approachable. The exact opposite of my encounter with Fred Couples at the US Open in Rochester. (For what it's worth)
I'm happy to hear the rumors have been dispelled. I'm looking forward to meeting a lot of Y'all at the show.

I've never been to the OnCenter. The directions look simple enough but I'd welcome any tips on where to park. I'm going to help RG with the booth on Saturday and I'm looking forward to meeting both new and old Ice Shanty friends.
