Johnnyboy, I am in Beacon. I checked Canopus yesterday, it had walkable ice but no one is allowed on until the Fahnestock rangers say OK. I think they need 6". I usually fish the WB or Amawalk reservoirs whenn they have ice.

I fish Black Lake with family up north. Chaumont Bay area at the family cottage and at a buddys house on the lake. I also work and live in Sandy Creek so I'm hoping to get out on the pond this winter.

I would like to also hit Oneida lake after seeing the perch pulled from there.

Oneonta. I used to live in Malone, Schenevus, Saratoga Springs, Albany, Shokan, New Paltz and Greenfield Center. I grew up in Galway in Saratoga County.

will be keeping my eye on white pond.. nobody to tell you when its safe to fish.. and some good walleye in there. Fished Canopus before not much luck just a lot of small fish how do you do in there??

And nyiceman, My inlaws live in Sandy Creek. May have to hook up with ya on our winter pilgrimage in February. Maybe hit Sandy Pond or something!

Mt,Morris. I usually fish the western Finger Lakes area. Ice Ape, Lets hook up as soon as we get good ice. I'm craving a pile of hot fillets and cold beer.
