I have been using a 1975 ice king 3hp power auger. Got it from my neighbor. He took it out of the box and it was like brand new! Said he hasn't had to use it on oneida in 35 years! Lol. Does the trick

Those bad boys are loud too, I don't think they even had a muffler on them.

It will be interesting to hear how the bite is this morning. Falling pressure yet this bright.  I'd guess the first few hours were good.
If I had to bet Saturday afternoon through Sunday will be decent.  Saturday morning I'm questioning.  Looks like that will be the tail end of the falling pressure and a steady period.
Guess we'll see.

Good luck all this weekend

For those looking for Pressure forecasts, the closest thing I've found is current conditions map, then compare future casts on directions & time frames for front arrivals.  Then look back at pressures from here through Ontario, or out toward Ohio & Michigan.
Here's the national map, you can then click each state.

I use this for the front movement and barometric pressure predicting. If you click on the time frame and then choose MPLS/Winds you can get a good idea of what the pressure is going to do.

Another beat down today. Fished 12'-39' out of chapman. One perch between two of us and a couple dinks.  Marked some good fish but as soon as you moved the rod the couldn't of left any faster.  This has been my toughest stretch since using electronics.  That makes at least 6 bad outings in a row.  By bad I mean 4 or less.

If you marched a fish this morning, chances were they hit.  I went 4 for 6 on marks on the graph.  They didn't want the small stuff, all went for the larger lures.  All perch.  But 6 marks for 5 hours of fishing sucks!

nice day on the lake today......fished with a couple buddies and hit a new area for me and dropped in a good hole right off the bat......iced 2 nice eyes and 7 jumbos before 9:30.....dumped a few eyes as well.....most aggressive fish I've seen in awhile......moved to thye spot where I've done good the last 2 days and picked up another 10 perch.....definitely didn't mark as many as I did the last 2 days......most every fish I have been catching in this spot are males ???......my budds both got their limit of eyes......I think I'm going to like this retirement thing ;D

Chummer, same as you today- left outa Taft and hit some mid lake spots, lots of lookers, had a school of eyes buzz through and looked like missiles on the lowrance, but no one would commit.. Next spot landed all over perch, managed 7 jumbos in 3 hours...if you touched the rod at all they left- dead stick glow red genz worm with spikes, only thing I could get to work! But, it was way better than working today!  ;D
Why work when you can fish?<br />

I had same results outta chapman wend. Punched wholes all over from 20-32fow managed one nice Eye 19" and 1 Jumbo few dink perch and two shorts needless to say still tough out there.

All you deep water Eye Seekers...try 15-18FOW ;)
We have been on extremely HOT Eyes for a solid week in the same spot...year classes all mixed in and they are HUNGRY!!!
You can see massive schools of bait come through on the flasher, then right behind comes the big schools of smashers ;D
The spot I have been on is somewhere on the North Shore, but well back before the drop...give it a shot, just sayin' ::)

thanks chum....was nice to see aggressive eyes......but the perch are pretty skittish......found a technique that persuades em a little.....light brown plastic worm like thingy with a wiggly tail...not maki....can't remember who makes it.....on a small gold darter jig...with a drop fly and spikes worked real slow....real lite biters.....vex helps out alot...not sayin it will work for you but is for me :)....eyes hit on slender spoons....there, I've spilled my guts, anybody else want to divulge there secrets...lol ;D

Alright, got a brown trout on a pk spoon and 2 slime darts, one on a glow dot and the other on a tungsten and maki. Needless to say, all three were surprises on the north shore east end.
