Marked a bunch of fish in the morning yesterday away from the crowd at a spot I creamed them at last February but they were tight lipped.... Moved over to the shoals mid morning and marked zero... Did run into Snagger at Apps in the morning and was tempted to follow his lead but didn't.... I was star struck... Like meeting a legend... LOL  :o

Had lookers on the Vex all day but could only get two slob perch to commit, my buddy got one 10" eye to bite....
ya........i was struck when he rode with me to his spot 3 miles out to the middle. and then i left him there and went home at noon :woot: :woot:  lmfao ;D ;D ;D

Sweet ride HT! The v-bar chains are sweet. Liked them so much on my wheeler bought some for the truck! While all 4 wheels is nice to have them on. Not normally ness. Most of the time Jmho. By the time it is needed its usually bad enough tracks are the only thing that'll work.

So when ya gonna tow my gear out for me? I'll buy you a Corona  ;D

Nice machine , hope it serves you well,  As someone said a few posts back.. Get the chains on right..  Needs to be taken up a lot. The inside main chain should be an even circle..

Everyone keep in mind ice thicknesses vary from spot to spot. I was fishing a location Sunday afternoon. Way  point to waypoint. Ice trolling. Came across 6 1/2" of white ice with 1" of clear ice. Nope go to leave and what do I notice a VERY small natural spring next to me. Open water! Should've spudded my way out there.. Keep walking and found 10-14" black ice not too far from there.

4 of us went out this evening to see if the eyes were biting. I picked up one keeper and a few perch and lost another keeper eye. 3 more eyes between the other 3 guys.

Newbie needs a little assistance here, I'm new to ice fishing, new like a month kind of new.  I have no problem catching perch in the north bay area, but its walleye I'm really after, I have yet to pull one thru the ice in 4 weekends of fishing, I've brought home countless perch but no eyes, spring and fall I have no issues getting my limit with Swedish pimples, sonars and little cleos.  I read that jig raps work well on the ice but holy Jesus there's 300 variations of color and size. I am mobile with a snowmobile however my son is 4 and loves coming along so moving a few times a day isn't a option if its bitterly cold.  He....we enjoy the heat inside the shanty.  I don't need to get my limit every time out but  don't think 1 or 2 is asking for much for a weekends fishing. No sonar to really tell depth but between my maps and sounding I have a general idea of water depth. Usually use a chrome Swedish pimple (#3) tipped with a minnow head, do I need to invest in some bigger tackle? Do I need to go deeper than 35 fow? I just don't understand what part Im missing, starting to get a little frustrated with this.

Yes you and a lot of other people out there as well. Your not doing anything wrong per say your just not on them when they are biting it sounds like, bit the jigging raps most popular are any thing that  lookers like a perch.
