Great day out on the ice with some friends. Was my best day for eyes on Oneida, wanted to go looking for perch but wasn't in the cards.

Nice Fish. I'm jealous. Walked out of Williams. First stop 18 FOW and the Vex was lit up. Very aggressive swimmers, but not biters. Moved out to the group past the islands in 10 FOW. Threw everything at them, but they were mostly looking. 1 Jumbo and 6 other 9's. Wind shifted from the South which made the walk back in really rough. Thanks to the owner of the new sled that gave me a lift in the last half. Good luck to anyone fishing the weekend.

Fished out of Taft this morning, 7-2 , caught a nice eye first thing and a couple of big perch but things died quick, move a few times 30- 32 fow , had a lot of lookers. I will be back at if tomorrow, hoping for one of those bang'em hard all day long....been awhile since I had one of those day's.
I have the ability to walk on water....therefore I am!!!

Pooch,  Pick me, Pick me.......  I know what's on the Avatar.  That's an Elite 5 showing about a gazillion suicidal eye's.  I think one of them is about 27 or 28 inches long.  She visited the very bottom of that hole in the ice.  ha ha.   ;D

You can hit the upload button and it will give you option of emailing the pics to Photobucket. Much easier than before. Then in the upper left corner after you click on your pic is a chain link. Click on that for the img code for posting. Hope this helps.

The fish Gods were good to me yesterday. Got to Oneida late after being stuck in some stupid driver traffic in Roch, and decided to try a different area. Paid off. Drilled only one hole and got my eyes, a burbot and kept a couple dozen perch but threw back way more. A lot of dinks yesterday, but there were some larger ones mixed in. Thanks to the guys who waived me down when my rod box fell out of my shanty. I had 4 rods and all my tackle in the box and I don't know what I would have done if I lost that.

It started working right after I made that post.  Not sure what was happening there...either a computer burp or connection burp???
Thanks for the help.

Winds aren't to bad out here but the fishing is ok very picky so far this morning. We drove 2 hours to get here and we will be here through it all. Not as many people out as I thought though. It definetly kept plenty of others away

NONONO. The 3 mile bay im talking about is in West Monroe. Toad harbor to mcclould to the old boat launch. Thats 3 mile bay. Those of us who know the fishing there say "3mile" or the "boat launch" Used to be a great fishing spot in the summer till all the party boats took over the bay. Its mostly a first ice thing then dies off. I have a friend who at the start of the season got his limit in 6 minutes. just wondering from those who know where i mean if they may still be getting them there.
Here fishy fishy fishy, Im gonna get ya!

Whos out there....Hows the bite out there?  Any fish after 830am, just doing a barometer survey, I was up this morning and ready to go, but looked like a bad barometer would move in after 830 am, just enough time to get a limit of eyes, but a grind lookin for perch. Thanks.

Its a grind just like you said. Been hole hopping changing depths, jigs, structure, mud and nothing but dink perch. Just gonna find a home and hunker down for the rest of the day.

For the 1st time this year I called it quits early and was off by noon. 7-7:30 bite ok although they were weird. Had fish on screen as soon as I dropped the ducer.  1st drop of the rap one came rocketing up 6' stopped & then vanished. Seemed like lots of them were spooked.  Today smaller pimple dropped slowly not free spooled barely twitched was the ticket. I only moved once.  Didn't speak with anyone, but guys were restless from 8 on, by 10 some were making big moves.  Watched one bucket sitter drill 10 holes spread out 300 yards and leapfrog them every 5 mins.  He appeared to be covering 22-33 fow.  He never stayed for more than 15mins at any one hole.
Wind wasn't that bad blowing 20-25.

Good early eye bite, moved for perch at 8:00 and did good until 11 then it shut off. They would just look at the jig and hardly come off bottom. Left at 12.
