does anyone ever fish Oneida in the dark? I've done well on the st Lawrence at night. just wondering cause I never hear anyone doing it on Oneida.
I was told the sliders can actually melt and seize up the track, not good.
I ran my sled all last winter pulling my 2 man just went slow 10 mph and had no trouble, this year I put sheet metal screws in the track to make some chips and traction, one of my buds did this last year and it seemed to help screw them parallel with the paddles , and dish soap also works ,and I have seen windsheild washer motors hooked up to pump dish soap on to the rails
X2 - I just go slow and I have not had an issue yet. My sled is liquid cooled as well.I am curious about your sheet metal screw "studs" though. Will they hold up okay? Did you actually screw them into your paddles?
Slow bite at Lewis today, anyone having any luck?
For those w/o scratchers, you can mix up some slider lube. Mix windshield washer fluid with 1/4 bottle of dish soap and squirt it on the sliders and go slow like Fred said. Great fishing guys, great pics and videos! Simply awesome, I never saw so many walleyes before or so many Big fish! Keep it up, have fun and be safe out there. Plus, don't forget your creepers!
