Nice job snag and s10. That snow should not be an issue with this rain. We should have a few nights near zero this week, just need to dodge the lake effect.

Snag your killing my dreams for next weekend. Me and the boys will be up Friday afternoon for the weekend. I gotta give Rick and Peg a call to see what's available and hopefully with the temps coming the lake makes enough ice to get out.

Fished near South Bay for panfish yesterday evening. Was sightfishing in 8 fow. Ended up with a dozen gills and Sunnis and landed 3 pickerel. Could have caught about 30 stink logs but I kept reeling up my lure when I would see them trying to bite my jig. Was on about 3 1/2 to 4 inches of black ice.  I'll be heading out to my walleye spots this week. Here's one of the slime darts

Got off the North shore with Snagger and Fred, slow bite. Ice was a good 3-4 black. Made it out to about 21ft no problem. Saw some guys way out in the middle of the lake. Ended up with 2 undersized, dumped a keeper at the hole, 1 pickerel and a dink perch. Not a very good day for me catch wise. Left the area about 1130am. Snowing real bad here in Southern Madison County right now.

Still raining pretty good here on the north shore. Should knock the snow down on the ice just in time for more snow  :(

well weather looks nice and cold hope to hit the lake with the sled by thursday or friday, im suprised at some of the ice reports  towards the east with the varing ice thickness, but im betting my area will be a solid 6+ by thurs day.

Decided to sleep in and not be involved it the zoo at big bay this morning, was hoping the rain would weed some fair weather fisherman out, and I was right, unfortunately it did the same to the fish. Only caught 2 slime darts, one being a pig. Took my when I buckeye wasn't looking. Look over at the hole and my rod handle is wedged in the hole !!!!   landed him after a few min. Every time I look at snaggers reports make me want to move deep, but without a spud its to risky until next weekend! Good luck to everyone that fishes this week

Managed to get out today with the younger brother.  Made a couple moves before we got into them real good.  Had a couple frenzies mid afternoon and was able to show the brother a few things.  Managed some nice 12" yellows to add to the bucket.  Ice ranged from 3-5" everywhere, most of it black.  Hoping for some glare ice in the next couple days.

Banner day at the zoo. 10-3, 17crappies, 28gills. Countless throwbacks. Could have limited on both, but left the trap at home and had enough of being soaked. Screen was lit up when i left and i stayed away from shantytown.

So guess I can't fish for 2 weeks going to attempt to contact the DEC to see exactlly how long till I can get a license. I'm not so worried about the fine if i got caught without a license but I would lose it if all my gear got confiscated

Tried the Beach today.  Good Ice out to about 23'.  Very slow bite for me today.  Marked plenty of fish but couldn't get them to hit.  I landed some silvers and a perch but had to feed the jig to them.  They just closed their mouth on it and I felt them on the up stroke.  Looking across, Lewis looked mobbed.  Looked like a little shanty city everyone was so close to each other.  I heard the beach was hot yesterday.  Oh well,  Try again Wed's.

Obrien 380: First, your fishing gear would not be seized !! Not even held in evidence !! But the fine can range up to $250.00. Call either DEC, Syracuse 426-7431 or Watertown 785-2231 and ask either for Law Enforcement. They will advise you any waiting period and if in a blackout due to the change in the computer license programs, they will explain. If you are service related then their may be some license exemptions for you. JUST CALL !! JTP--retired ECO
