Title: Droppers os teasers? i gotta clear this up
Post by: bib brother on Jan 15, 2005, 07:59 PM
this board has been great for helping me improve my jiggin but there seems to be confusion.....

Droppers- like the chain on a hali, mono leader from bottom of spoon or jig to hook, just a one hook rig

Teaser- smaller bait or lure fished above main lure, ie. ice fly or tear drop fished 12" above favorite spoon, two or more hook rig, possibility for doubles

maybe the confusion is only mine but I think I've seen both of these rigs referred to as droppers.  DO you guys use these rigs?  how do you like to rig 'em?

Sorry i'm getting so technical but we lost our ice temporarily here in massachusetts and I'm just stairing at my jigging gear thinking.

Your exactly right in your descriptions. The main lures bring em in for a look and the bait on the dropper makes em bite. They do not relate the two as being one.
