Had fun on Spirit today...not going home hungry

Hey, new here. Hit Spirit Lake today, 1st time out this year and @ Spirit. Got to the Grade bout 2:30 and had steady bite till bout 5 ish. Stayed till 6:30 and didn't mark fish after. Ended up with bout 16 perch keepers and few bluegill. Busy up there, Later

I heard the perch fishing was really good. Same with the bluegill. I also heard that the walleye fishing is good.

Saturday was my first time fishing Spirit Lake and also my first outing of the year.  Started out at Stoney Point at around 9 a.m. and landed a 19" walleye with in the first 20 min.  I moved arond the lake A LOT and caught 3 small pearch.  Set back up at Stoney 3:30-4 for the walleye bite and was very happy with the decision.  My brother and I landed 7 walleye and a nice white bass.  I stoped marking fish at 6:30 or so and called it a night.  I am planning on heading back in a few weeks.  Hopefully the perch fishing will be a little better.  Good luck and keep the posts coming.  See ya all on the ice!
