Title: Alton Bay Ice Report
Post by: Riverat on Dec 03, 2007, 07:03 AM
Thin layer of ice formed, enough to support snow this AM! Earlier than last couple years. Check out live cam.

That layer of ice will really help out in blocking the wind, the ice wont be long in Alton Bay ;D

Drove by the bay to plow out the camp, ice all the way past the band stand probably by a good 75 yards, didnt see how thick it was yet, though I did see a dog running along the shoreline on the opposite side of the boat launch.

If a body of water is classified as "Salmon/Lake Trout" waters, then it is only open for ice fishing from Jan 1st-March 31st. :(
