Couldn't find access to one favorite pond so hit a old favorite that has been kind to me in the past.
Knee deep snow from the parking lot but only a few inches on the ice.
The ice was frozen slush crust over frozen white and black ice.
(2" crust, 6" white and 5" black ice.)
Plenty of sunfish that were real eager to hit the jig!
Depending on the conditions on Monday I may try again! (Sunday will be windy and wild!)

Hit the pond again both days this weekend!
Got to try my new snowshoes and I got a bunch of panfish both days!!!

I fished it today. Fun. Bout a dozen small bass on the jig w/ gulp maggots.

Hit it again today, snow, wind and all!
Not a whole lot of action, but did manage to jig up 2 small bass, 2 sunfish and 2 crappie.
The best thing was being able to walk right out onto the ice from shore (brought a plank just in case).
Although the ice had been eroded by the rain from this past week, there's still enough for at least another week before safety (and sanity) really will be an issue!
