Does anyone use stainless steel leaders ice fishing? I've seen a lot of people mention using fluorocarbon leaders but not much about stainless steel.
Since I'm new to ice fishing my buddy gave me all his old stuff he no longer uses and I found some 30# test stainless steel leaders...he said these would be good for pike. My other buddy said he just runs his 6# line and has had no issues.
Should I be using a leader if fishing for walleye and pike? Will they see the stainless steel leader or will I have any issues fishing with it in the ice?
I'm using Berkley Trilene 100% 6# Fluorocarbon Ice Fishing Line on my pole.
