hali jigs

got some hali jigs from santa.  whats the proper way to work them?  do they flutter on the fall?

Yes, they do flutter on the fall. There is no "Proper" way to work them.
It depends on what you're trying to accomplish.
Just put a few of your favorite grubs on one and get the feel for it.
Use a M/L rod and light mono. I've caught everything from dink perch to pike on them...

I first seen Hali jigs when we were on a North Dakota trip 3 yrs. back. They worked great for the perch we were out there for.....This worked of us.....Just let it fall to the bottom, let it sit on the bottom, lift it up real slow from the bottom and feel for any extra weight........90% of the time, we had a fish on without any notice except for the extra weight feeling. Set the hook........The perch were really on the bite at that time though....... We caught our limit that morning in no time.... When we held it above the bottom maybe 4-6 inches. We had to wait a lot longer between bites.
