different species sharing structure
« on: Dec 24, 2004, 11:09 PM »
In one paticular area I fish (submerged brush close to deepest part of lake) I catch bass and bluegill when the sun is high, crappie a little later, then just before dark the craps shut off and I'll pick-up a few walleye.   You guys catching this many different species on certain structure, or is this a super-unique situation?

Or, are there instances when you catch a certain species, say crappie and that tips you off to what the walleye's are doing and where they're doing it?  Is anyone this good??

Like Stumper said, some spots you never know whats gonna bite. No you can not pattern walleye by what crappies are doing. Because yes, I am that good.
Every plastics manufacturer claims plastics outfish livebait. So now I use livebait just for the increased challenge.

In a lake that I fish, we catch Perch, Bluegill/Sunfish, Bass, Pickerel, and
an occasional Crappie, all out of the same hole. This happens most of the
time, somedays we get more perch, then other days we get more gill's,
etc. Why this happens, I don't know, but when they bite, I'm happy.
Happy Holidays and tight lines and good fishing to all!

went snorkeling at this one lake and there was a tree in the water and in the tree there where perch, bass, walleye, whitefish and a couple pike cruzing around the area probably snacking on the smaller fish.
