i  fished the  hudson a  few times  with  friends i much rather  fish the salt  but that is  me
.

We went out on Long Island Sound with Chris and all 4 of us got our personal best that day up to my 46 incher. He’s got the big fish patterned and puts lots of big fish on the boat.

sweet on both counts. I fished the Hudson in a 12' rowboat for years that was the perfect boat for solo fishing. Throw a second person in it and it sucked. I've spent countless May mornings on the river at 4:30 in the morning without a soul in sight  ;D

He responded to my inquiry about a charter already so he’s clearly ignoring you. I wished him good luck this season 😎 and mentioned my buddy has been trying to reach him about his Ion blades but has been ignored and is now posting about it. Bet you get contacted shortly!

Good on you John.  Good karma coming your way.  Maybe this guy needed ion blades.

That is a large fly rod bass.  I got my first one last year and it was a dink.

I would be making a call to my bank and cancelling that check. Sounds like your out your old blades which is unfortunate. Consider it a lesson learned and move on to a more dependable source.  Fish 307
I checked today. It’s 15 dollars to stop payment on my 15 dollar check… 🤦🏻‍♂️

I would do it any way.  Just for the satisfaction of not paying for services not performed.  You wouldn't walk out of the grocerie store empty handed after spending $15 would you.
By the way, he's getting a bad rap after all this chatter on here.  Hope it works for you.

Hey guys- without looking for my checkbook, the check is about a month old. I refuse to pay the 15 bucks to stop payment on the off chance that this guy has some legit excuse and I might actually get my blades back. If I stop payment, odds are I’ll get nothing back and I’ll be out 15 as well.

Maybe take a road trip….
9 Pleasantview Ave. Scotia, NY 12302
Either that or have someone call for information and find out where he keeps his boat and pay him a visit before or after a charter…. ;)

I sent my blades to that address. I even tried to locate his neighbors. As far as paying him a visit, it just isn’t worth the time and the cost of the gas. It would be quite satisfying though.

Someone knows this guy….if he’s been a guide in that area for very long, someone knows him.
I hope this has a good ending and you get your blades back all sharp and ready for next season.
Sadly, it doesn’t look like it is going to end that way…
If I was closer, I would pay him a visit for you.
I hate when people pull crap like this!  >:(

Fisher,
I would also post this on MyFishFinder. Since he is a so called open water guide, maybe that will help get this resolved….

I was hoping he was on Facebook..that’s were the real fun takes place when someone is screwing you over.
If you have an account, I would bet there is a NY guide page. Get on there and tell your story. I bet word gets back to him pretty quick that he looks like a total D’bag….
