ice for Ice shacks?

How much ice do you guys think I need for a 4x8 275lb ice shack? I was thinkin over 7 in? When do you guys put out the hardsides. ???

I won't go out onto the ice until there is a known solid 8".

Usually 4" to 5" is good for a 4'x8' bobhouse I've never had any problems ,but I don't park anything nearby either. I always block it up at least 4".
There must be a twelve step program for this

I have a 4x8 house that weighs atleast 500lbs and I put it out every year on 6" of good solid ice.
Work....... Plenty of time for that in the summer...
