I hope it is not but I talked to a guy today at winona and he said that next year there will be no December fishing next year.ALL FISHING I guess will be after jan 1st whether it be for trout or bass....can anyone confirm the banning of early ice fishing? Say it isnt so.

I talk with f&g every week or so and havn't heard anything about it yet ,but I SURE WILL ASK NEXT WEEK. Winona is right next to where I live.

It will not happen. That was a rumor that came out in the hawkeye a few months back.  Some one thought they had a good idea,  but they thought wrong.  oh well!

How much ice did you have on Winona?  I don't ice fish it much, but I do cross it on the snowmobiles...
