first ever crappie on ice!

Started fishing a buddy of mines pond this season. I know its loaded with bass gills sunnies and some perch but he just recently told me it had crappie in it. First hole first drop this is what i brought up!

Size 10 hook if i remember right. That day they wouldnt hit micro stuff. Tried some ice jiggies a guy makes and everything was hitting them

 Wow thats light. I use a 1/16 ounce jig with a #12 hook. But it was made out of tungsten which makes it much lighter.

 I use 8 lb. line on my rod which I usually use for pike but I use it for panfish too. Those tungsten jigs sink that line down really fast.

 Ya. In my like you never know. Either a nice perch or a 47" inch pike. I just tried to be somewhat prepared.
