I went with a 12 volt led rope light and just zip tied it to the upper/roof rods and power it with a flasher battery.

Check out Tek 4 Ryobi flashlights online at Home Depot. The Rp4450 has 220 lumens.

I picked up this one 2 years ago and have yet to change the batteries, very versitile with the adjustable velcro strap hangs nice in my QF3. I use it in the ice tent at night and for camping in the summer

I wonder if the LED lanterns have improved much.  I remember using some rated to like 480 lumens and they were so dim that two of them in the hub shelter wasn't even as bright as one 100 lumen flashlight.  Back then those were like $60+ LED lanterns.

How big is your popup? I use the Coleman mini lantern 105 leumens is plenty or my shappell 5000 don't want it terribly bright but enough. If bigger they have a size bigger my parents haw it for emergencies and man that this is bright for $44

I use my coleman lantern for heat as well as light. I don't use a buddy heater, only lanterns. An led sounds good, but you will lose the heat that you would normally from a regular lantern.

My Wife bought two Olde Brooklyn Lanterns that are LED when hurricane sandy was coming. They are decently bright but if I was getting one for ice fishing I would get a Coleman one.

The coleman cpx 6 has 2 settings low 80 lumen and high 200 lumen. This has been more than sufficient in my QF3

Rayovac sportsman. Got it at lowes 2 yrs. ago, still on same batteries. I have a clam pro lights it fine. It has a folding hook in the base so you can hang it from the bars of your shelter. Top comes off ( lens ) in 1/2 a turn for max lumes, 20 bucks I think. Able to take lots of abuse too.

Coleman makes a great Pack-Away LED lantern. Got one for X-Mas a couple years ago and squirreled it away with my outdoor gear.
During the freak storm without power for a week in Oct 2011, it kept my living room lit at night on one set of batteries. I've since bought a second. They're now in my power outage kit in the closet.
