My cousin, his son and I headed out yesterday, arriving at 7:30 AM and fished a dozen tip-ups and all three of us jigging. Fished till noon or so with very little action. Two perch and two pickerel, no bass or trout
Was a beautiful weather day and 4 other guy showed up ..seemed to be catching a few bass in the shallows.
Ice was 5-7 inches, but poor quality ice... mostly just frozen snow and thin in area's. Not scary, but not comfortable either. I think it's the kind of ice that people can get into trouble with if they don't know what they are doing or don't realize how poor quality it really is.
