Pike question

Hey all!  If I don’t have to work I’m hoping to fish the pike derby in Belgrade lakes tomorrow. Probably either Messo or great. I’ve only ever fished pike on Sabbattus. Question is what kinda depth should I look for?  I know it’s a little early for them to come in really shallow but do they go out into the deeper areas or am I better in say 10-15 fow?  Thanks in advance.

I’d focus anywhere from 15’ back to 5’ or less. Weeds are better than no weeds.

Weird time of year for pike right now. They’re starting to transition from drop offs to shallow weedy bays but I would lean on finding them more shallow than deep.

Thanks everyone. Set up on great pond. Ttaps from 7-18 fow. Jigging in 25. If there is any action I’ll post up some pics.
