Yeah. We had a great weekend. That big 50/50 win left me speechless for a few minutes!  My cousin Glenn got 3rd place pickerel at 4.1lbs. My daughter had a pickerel just shy of 3 1/2 lbs. her biggest fish ever. It was an awesome weekend for sure!!

I really feel very concerning about Face book posting piles of  decent togue left laying on ice. all the oportunity  for smoking fillets or fish cakes for familys that would really enjoy them. Ive had some smoked togue that was as good as Alaskan Salmon, also fish fillets or Fish cakes with seasoning and onions added , very good .

My 12 year old daughter caught her biggest fish through the ice ever. That made my weekend!  The 50/50 was just an awesome bonus.

Those piles will be gone in the morning. AYK, hungry birds of prey will eat like kings after the tourney. Take solace in that at least.

You are Correct.

Her and I had been working on a set of Thompsons Traps that I had and that all 3 of my kids used before I got them their own set. I gave them a light sanding with steal-wool and then 3 coats of Spar Varnish. I was able to find a reel to replace the bad one I had. She picked out the colors she wanted on the traps and she wanted to break them in Sunday. We had a GREAT time out there
