Not Rhode Island Style Clam Chowder

Not Rhode Island style clam chowder.  Just the recipe with walleye cheeks and clam juice to substitute...and maybe a few shrimps.  I’ve been saving up the cheek meat and some belly scraps.

Never had a cheek-

I caught more walleye this year through the ice than the rest of my fishing career combined (owe it to some fishing friends).  Saved all of the cheeks in separate vac seal bags.  I also tossed in some belly scraps that didn’t stay on the fillets.

Dude, its like a tiny scallop, you gotta get them things!  The cheeks off 3 walleye makes a nice little appetizer

Agreed, made a nice little scampi out of a batch this summer, delicious!

That a phenomenal idea im stealing that.  If you like heat add a little (or a lot) chili powder that scampi sauce and it brings a whole new level!!
