Been flurrying off and on this morning here. Calling for 1-2" tonight into tomorrow here, then another 3-5" between Monday and Thursday. It had been 4-8, so I'll take the downturn. The gear drag has been getting to be a pain lately with all the snow.

4-7" where I was at WS yesterday, but it was dead. The water level is really low, so some places there is like 3-4" of water... ran my auger into the mud a couple times looking for a little deep hole I had fished before. Some of the ice was soft and slushy in places along the edges, so you have to be careful going on/off. I put a boot through hauling my fish house off.

I was out from like 730 until about 10 and never even got a bite. Ended up hopping the line and fishing a little pond in IL and did better.

The WS scenery was nice though, and I got a good workout trudging through knee deep drifts.

Now they are calling for 6-10” of snow here in Kendallville. I was hoping we’d be on the short end of the original 3-5” forecast. I think some of the longs walks I make on some of these lakes is over for me. This will most likely make more slush also. Will just have to wait and see what we get.

Still looking at 3-5" tonight/tomorrow morning here. I might go give it another shot tomorrow after the snow ends.
