What’s everyone’s thoughts on how long the ice will last?

Was just thinking about that. If we get the high end of the snow totals I think it will wreck it. Hope I’m wrong!!!!

Next week's forecast doesn't look very good. I'm guessing maybe another week and a half to 2 weeks before it's shot for the season.

Barely any highs above freezing in the 2 week here.  I think we have 4 weeks unless we get a warm spell with a lot of rain

Depending on the weather, three or four weeks, probably! Hex

If this ends up holding true, I think we'll be done by the end of the month here. I'm right by the Newton/Benton/IL state lines. Ice is 4-10" here, and it'll get rotten fast with daytime highs like this and rain.

If the smaller ponds around are like mine, they will go first. Just isn’t the ice on them like the bigger lakes. I think we’ll be able to go till the first of March. The snow is going to raise cane with everything and make more slush that’ll never freeze till someone walks through it. I’ll be fishing every day till I have to go farther north.

It's coming down hard now here. Just got a call from my kid's school that they cancelled tomorrow because it's not supposed to stop until tomorrow morning, and the wind is pushing 20mph sustained, so it's already drifting a bit.
