After market Strike master Lithium 40v
« on: Dec 08, 2020, 04:38 PM »
Every manufacturer sells their battery at twice the cost of the same battery offered by someone else.
Every tool I have is running after market batteries just fine.

Can someone tell me who handles the after market for Strikemaster?

Maybe “typical manufactures” but Milwaukee batteries really are better that cheap knock-offs. No comparison.

And the authentic Milwaukee batteries are amazing - real technology makes them better than everybody else's, especially in cold weather.

That is the reason that most professional contractors use Milwaukee, at least here in the North.

all the knockoff manufacturers do is make the same plastic battery case design, but then put cheap cells inside them...you absolutely get what you pay for...

If you can afford a 24v or 40v auger, then you can afford an original battery. You wouldn’t put a cheap knock off battery in your pickup, would you?

I don't believe the brand loyalty koolaid. Here's a link that I've seen on other sites. More capacity than original. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B089PVRL1C?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title they were down to $50

HWeber, I am not advocating blind brand loyalty. Perhaps these may work even better than the Strike Master batteries- I do not know.  My point is that Milwaukee batteries are fundamentally better than the knockoffs and the originals of the other brands.

One thing I learned in my short lifetime is to never cheap out on battery or buy knockoffs. This goes for all motor vehicle, boats, and electronics. You get what you pay for.

And I'm sure there is a dewalt and rigid guy claiming the same thing.  While there might be some proof to your statement most lithium batteries are similar Chinese cells in different cases

I have a large contingent of Rigid batteries and tools.

Batteries nowhere near as good as the Milwaukee I bought when I went with a drill auger.

Not in my personal experience. I run nothing but Milwaukee and my battery supplier (CA) produces a battery (20V) that last twice as long as the manufacturers at half the price. I have maybe 20 batteries from this manufacturer and every one has been like quality and I have been running same batteries for 4 years now. Original Milwaukee batteries (4) hit the garbage can 3 years in.

Here is my (not opinion) observances. Rigid is a joke across the board. Anyone who would buy Rigid has no place offering advice to others on anything.
Even home owners know Rigid is crap.  :D
