Beware of the Glacier Bay ice rod carrier from Mills Fleet and Farm.
Keep your receipt if you buy one.
It is blue nylon cover with a 3"PVC tube inside. Halfway down the length of the pvc there is a cut to transition from a tube to a "cradle" for the reels. Check the angle of the cut and the overrun of the saw marks. It WILL crack across that line.

i have a canvas style bag,
i don't remember where i got it     HT enterprises
it didn't have any real tube style rod protection inside it
so i got those golf club tubes from walmart, or dicks
cut them to fit the length of rod and enough to completely protect rod tip.
stapled   velcro to one to rap around reel to hold in place
works good
