Your frown Drifter. Too cold? Too much sunshine? Both?

Don't need to keep the idiots away.

Too chilly. Snowmobiling to the spots causes frostbite on the corners of my eyes.
Too hard on equipment at these temps too.

I rest my case; if it were warm there, with the wild untamed beauty that is there, you would have at least 3 or more zeros on the end of that population number you indicated!!! I hope when I can retire, to make that number 44,002 (me and the Mrs ) though likely it would just be 40,001 because she complains about being cold when the thermostat is set to 68 in the house.... I think she would freeze to death just looking at those temps up there 🥶

Nope, none of your gay little girlie fishes up here!!!!   ;D
We have whitefish, pike, burbot and lake trout mostly but there are also sheefish and walleye in Great Slave and walleye in some of the other lakes around. Once you get further North there are Arctic Char.
You know, manly fish!!!!!  :roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao:

Not much warmer here.

You should look into a set of tracks and skis for a heated vehicle?

If I lived up there I think I'd have an ASV track truck.

Yup. With a couple “ma duces” on top just in case the wildlife or locals become unruly 🤣

So the answer to the question “what can you eat” - the answer is - “an occasional walleye”?  Sorry, just stirring the pot😉
