Thanks Hardwater2. Thatís helpful. Iím mostly a walker. Think Iíll need to try to sit in them side by side and see which I like more. Iíve been pretty happy with Eskimo but that Clam legend with the extra space and sliding seat sure looks nice for around 60lbs.
Tight lines.
I do believe the sled is a bit more heavy gauge plastic in the clam. I wore a hole in my inferno after 3 seasons of use from dragging it. Sometimes thatís unavoidable. I run hyfax now on all of my flip over sleds. No more wear issues.

Great point mentioning the skirting on the Eskimo laying flat. On my clam Iím always ducking outside trying to get the skirt flat and bank with snow when available.

I took the seats out of my 2 man clam. I use camping chair. A lot lighter.  Sometimes guys pull the material too tight on the back when screwing the back of fabric to the sled. Too tight and front of shanty won't sit on ground. Most common thing I see why front of shanty isn't sitting on ground.

Probably my last trip on my local spot down in Putnam County tonight. Maybe Iíll take a ride north before calling it a wrap. Would love to get into some jumbos on Chaumont if the bite turns on. Some pictures from tonight. A few crappies, few yellows, and a few whites in about 2 hours.

Noticed the same thing on my clam Kenai one man, the skirting is a few inches short on the "sides"  front lays on the ice fine but the sides are 3 maybe 4" too short. Is an issue when the wind is up and there is no snow to insulate the outside perimeter. Also at 5' 7" my head hits the roof if I stand up straight, The clam XL legend I see in the specs is 4" taller with 5 more sq.footage of space.

Oh, ok 12" Can I ask what did you use for material and did you sew it to the existing skirting?

Thank you very much for sharing. That makes things a whole lot more air tight I bet. I'm surprised Clam has not corrected the issue. My tailor's gonna have a heart attack when I walk thru his door with my flip over :o
