Lakes are locked up, but nobody is out yet. We hit a farm pond today that had 5". 30 Gills in 3 hours. No bites for the last hour. I guess that means 30 in 2 hours.

I will check some lakes tomorrow. It looks like the rain turned all the snow to wet slush, and has refrozen. But I haven't checked it personally. I saw people fishing yesterday in the rain. Yucky day to fish!.... P.S. I just let the dog out to go potty. The ice is groaning. Good sign.

Clear had 3" yesterday on the dark spots and 5+ wherever the snow half-melted on top. Fishing sucked but it was hard ice.
I like to sit around on the ice doing nothing because my wife won't let me do it at home.

Saw one shanty on crispell. Guy was parked right on the boat ramp. Nice of him to make everyone walk around his vehicle.

Round lake has four coops and a quad on the ice as I post this, I have no idea what Devils lake has but only because I can not see the north end or Sandy Beach.

Anyone have any updates on devil's? High 40s and rain again on Thursday... I haven't been out there this year yet, but we usually go party for tip up. What are people's thoughts on tip up going on as planned or does it look like some activities will be cancelled?

Just the races on the ice. There will still be guys running machines on the lake I'm sure. Fishing contest is still going on. All the activities off the ice are still going on.
