That water is between vellas and App’s
About 300 yards out ,
Isn,t that where the clear water outlet pipe for Cleveland sewer system is? I remember Will Kirk putting there when they put the system in.

No just a deep depression where water gathered  sled inhaled some water it’s at rocks shop getting a little TLC , then those fish better hope they aren’t hungry 😉 I should have got a pic
over the years on Oneida I’ve seen that same scenario many times , this one had a good crust of ice over it , I was going to drain the water but the auger needed  a little drying out
Normally when I come across Those i poke a hole

No that was just a water pocket ,
deepest one I ever seen was on the east end it was waste deep so guys keep a good eye out , easy to spot when not healed over , and around sunrise , and I want to thank all who offered to let me borrow their rides to use ,, very kind of you and think I forgot to thank Rick at App’s for helping me out of a jam

I didn’t fish yesterday but found some eyes this morning. It was beautiful to start but very slippery with the fresh snow over glare ice. Fished in a sweatshirt without the heater until the wind picked up.

Had to keep the big girl because she did this.

Just rode Cleveland to Constantia on the north shore, conditions this morning couldn't be better. About 4 inches new snow on top of that other snow from last week that melted and refroze. Gonna ride home this afternoon and see how the 40 degrees affects it. Best ice we have had in years I think.

I totally agree CNY. It's not often you get 16" of black ice with almost no junk most of the season.

Same day I had, mcully. Eye limit early and then 5 hours for a dozen perch. Well worth sitting out there on a day like today. Got a few big solid eyes around noon on the ultralight gear for a bonus too.

FYI: coming back from a ice ck, my brother who lives on the lake, almost buried his sled in 3 mile bay 18” of water he said ice crack in front separating, might be a mess by Tuesday, just sayin, creeks are all flowing gonna change rapidly! Conditions will change daily...sat that wasn’t there!! Be safe

Thinking about another trip tomorrow morning to head out of Lewis.  Any issues?  Thanks in advance...I've got a two hour drive to get there.

Fished out of Lewis - no issues.  Solid ice and no slush to be found as of noon today.  Maybe 3" of snow on the ice.
