Willoughby

Just wondering if anyone made it out to Willoughby this weekend? What are the conditions? I'm thinking of going with a buddy tomorrow either by the access or the north end.

Also heading up that way this weekend. Just curious how the ice is looking?

I drove to Willoughby this morning. At 11:00 I found 9" of solid black ice near the access. In 55 fow I found 7" of black solid ice. That was straight out from the access. There was a family fishing there that had a string running parallel to the access. Don't go very far out at that spot because it is open water or a slight skim of ice in the deeper water. At the north end I went out at least 300 yds and found 9" of solid black ice all along the way.

Thanks for letting me know NEK. I might head to a body of water I am more familiar with in the kingdom.

Hey Keith - did the lake open again or still frozen over? Thanks

We got there at dusk and from north end I didn't see open water but my buddy said south end was open.. We were out in 25ft of water and had good ice.
