That Ryobi thing is huge and heavy as a gas auger, and priced closer to a 40v strikemaster at regular msrp. For $239, though, might be worth the buy for a Ryobi diehard

I have had great luck with buying items out of the Amazon Warehouse site.  From my experience about 90% of the time that I get something from the warehouse it is as good as new.  The rare occasion that I am not happy with what I have received I simply drop it off at my closest UPS store for a free return and my money back.  The only thing I have had bad luck with is fishing rods.  Most of the time when I have bought a rod that was supposed to be very good or excellent it is broken when I receive it.

If you are set on the Vexilar brand - I would also direct you to the reconditioned section on Vexilar.  There they have units that have been cleaned up after either using in a show, or touched up after manufacturing  May be another option to keep from getting some used items off Amazon.

I've had good and bad experiences with Amazon Marketplace used gear.  Just got something yesterday that was "used-very good" and it was actually brand new with tags on.  The couple items that were bad experiences I just returned to Amazon for free.

Most common issue for with Amazon Whse for me is receiving the wrong item packaged as what I ordered. That's happened twice. No prob with the return and no issues when they got the return and it wasn't what they said they sent. Just the hassle of the order/return/reorder cycle.

Best score was a pair of Muck Arctic Pros in my size for $60. I'm sure they were never worn. And yes, it was thanks to a heads up from someone here (can't remember who).

yep! Got a frabill recruit shack that hadn't been opened, the box had some patch jobs on it but the shack was perfect
