Well I'm headed off to Garson Pond on Friday. Gonna test out the Vexilar and other ice fishing toys I got for Christmas. Anybody try it there this year, and was there anything biting? Don't wanna waste $20 by being skunked. I went last year (1 week before he closed the ice fishing season there). I caught a couple perch, and a fat Rainbow... but fell back into the hole before I could grab it. Unfortunatly the 3 other guys I was with caught nothing. One fell asleep the whole time on the couch inside one of the shelters. I plan to hit either Lockport or the Selkirk area next week once I get all my gear together. I figure that we try Garson because 2 of the guys that are coming along don't have a license and I'm gonna see if I can recruit them into hitting the ice with me so I don't look like a lonely pathetic rookie. If anybody has any tips or comments about this place let me know...
