Taking a step back from the previous statement, you realize a great day icefishing means you catch a limit of keepers. Not one fish more.

For three guys that means 18 keepers.

All day.

Just said that after boating 109 walleyes.

The line between dedication and insanity with ice fishing is hard to pin down sometimes isnt it?

how about driving 3 hours +++ for a weekend of fishing from 5 am till 11pm and sleep in your truck while its single digits and below outside jsut so you  can make sure your not late to the ice in the morning??

As soon as anything turns white outside and you have to take the lil woman's car everywhere you two go together because your shinny new auger has been riding shotgun, strapped in by the seat belt just in case you happen to pass by some ice, since the white had shown up. There is no room for her in the back seat either due to the support gear (tackle bags, rods, buckets, extra clothes etc...) that backs up the auger like a mini tackle store militia on maneuvers. Then when at home or work and not being able to get out on the ice making sure you can park in a location so you can see your shinny auger snuggled in that seat belt while it gleams back at you in an addictive love affair no woman could match.
