Well snow on the ground but warming up to not needing a coat around 40 today but another storm moving in.  Getting things ready to cut meat but still getting things settled around the house for the winter, pool cover blew off so need to get that fixed when the snow is gone.  Then to get out and chase some cranes with the wife and daughter.  Have a great mid week and hope that everyone's end of the week is good.  Be safe and have a good day/night.

I went up to Lake Nipissing from Williamsport back in 2007 and stayed in a sleeper shack for a few days. it's about an 8 hour trip from north central PA and the same from Pittsburgh. We took out own gear/food/drink/supplies. The service we used brought fresh bait by a few times a day and even delivered more beer when we ran out(10 or 11 guys can put a dent in some booze). We had three shacks located relatively close so we could visit during the day and then just use one shack to cook each night. They had propane heat and lights, had a small TV that could get channels over the air, and a semi-heated toilet that was attached to the shack, but you had to exit the main door and go around to the side to enter. each shack could hold 6(maybe 8) people, but we only had 3 or 4 in each, since a few people had to back out at the last second.

10/10 would go again.

Eyeconic just came out with a telescoping rod, might work?

edit: maybe not, I see it only collapses down to 35" and is only available in UL

Once you figure out your legal and tax responsibilities, you will likely close up shop and just go fishing.

Lithium Polymer cells have been used in the RC plane and copter industry for 20 or more years.
In the early days one would have to carry them in a ceramic or fireproof bag as they have a tendency to go nuclear and are almost impossible to extinguish (only a halon extinguisher will work).
Time will tell.

So I haven't done anything with the shanty, but I looked at it again yesterday after reviewing some posts online. I think the issue of the edge trim, skirt, and seat not fitting together well has to do with the flashing on the edge of the sled. These sleds are rotomolded and it looks like the edges have to be cut down. On my sled it looks like not enough of the edge/flashing was removed. This means the the lip, fabric, and edging all stick out further than normal, causing interference with the seat support.
The more I look at it though, the more I think I will not be screwing the skirt or using any edging on the inside of the sled area.
I occasionally use boot cleats and I can just see that skirt getting all chewed up.
