OK guys I have a weird question I know one of you can answer. I have a Wire mesh trailer I haul my small boat on. I have been using a heavy piece of carpet on it to keep from scratching the Poly boat material. I want to find something I can bolt on like a wide piece of PVC or similar material. What is out there and what is it called? Carpet works but I don't think I could use it at a state park where it will get wet and have a possibility of Zebra Muscles attaching to it.

You can get slip sheets of a lot of different kinds of plastic in varying gauge thickness. We use LDPE ones between pallet layers at my work to avoid scratching metal.
*added* Not sure where you would buy just a few, though. They're generally sold in bulk for industrial use.

US plastics sell all kinds of things for plastics and we get the HDPE for a bunch of things in our application but we are looking at chemical resistance and durability over time. Might be one place to look they are located by one of our plants by Lima OH.

You can get 2ft by 4ft cutting boards at fleet if you're desperate

Thanks for the ideas. I am sure I will get something.

Probably will be cheaper to bolt down a couple pieces of PVC pipes to support the boat. Many people use the wire mesh trailer with PVC tubing for transporting their kayaks.

Home Depot sells 4' x 8' x 3/8" sheets of pvc

PCV is sure cheap, but if you are set on UHMW, a set of hyfax would work- I just posted a set on the deals thread for $10 shipped.
