My local spots are not yet open enuff so had to go Northward. for those who know this area, the frozen road around the lake is now a brutal mud bog. Froze enough to drive in morning but a sloppy quagmire in the afternoon. The outback was slinging mud at high RPM's to escape the clutches of the mud trolls. ;D
Ice was measured at 24.5" thick. We caught fish all day, bobo bite didn't start till 2pm or so. Landed 23 eyes, 5 bobos, missed as many easily, I broke off a nice bow on 4lb. :P I caught everything on jigging raps, green then brown.
Finally so nice to mark fish then actually have them bite! Plus we were fishing in 7ft. of water so considerably easier than the 50ft. beatdown of a certain local lake- :P

Those are nice Mike! I wouldn't mind to be forced to ice fish like those.

Miles for piles! Nice work. You’re tempting me to extend my ice season.

Looks like the weather was better than usual. Glad you made it out. It seems like drifting is usually the problem with that road. Fish like that make it worth the drive.
