Title: Good Iphone app (Map/marker/routes?) That is free??
Post by: Kingperch101 on Jan 01, 2018, 09:40 PM: Hello, I am looking for a good app that I can use when navigating the ice when fishing... so I can log spots and see the water depths and such... Thanks!

Post by: bearnoob on Nov 30, 2019, 11:28 PM: I payed $14.95 for the first year of Navionics. My subscription expired so I can't use all the advanced features of the app anymore, but what is available is all I need. Can still view 1 foot contours, lay waypoints and tracks.

If it is valuable enough for you to want to use it then it should be valuable enough to pay for that privilege.

I pay for Navionics and love it, since I'm heading to Canada this year I will also upgrade to US/Canada this year. Again, well worth it to me. Same maps on my Garmin, can synch waypoints easily between them all through the Active Captain app and all is well.

What people don't realize is nothing is free, either through ads spammed in the app, or selling of your data while using the app.

Nothing is free.

But yeah the active captain thru garmin is very nice
