Don't feel bad, the odds of catching on Oneida on your first trip ever are somewhere around 3%. It is a hard lake to figure out. Don't let the regulars on here get your hopes up. They are masters at this and have been prefecting it for years or decades. Bucket time is the only thing that helps.
Thanks, I have caught 3 short eyes and 2 perch. Not marking many either
Thanks guys I'll keep at it, would I be better off hitting North shore in the morning or sticking to the South? Is parking at apps free? Decent number of spots? Sorry for the questions just wanna be sure, staying in brewerton tonight before going home tomorrow.
Parking at Apps is free, but I would recommend getting there early. There is a limited number of spots. Rumor has it that you can park at Vella's (gas station next door) if the lot at Apps lot is full. Somebody posted this earlier this year, but I haven't had to do it. If you park at Vella's, I would recommend filling up with gas or buying something at the store in exchange for their generosity. Lance and Lisa are top-notch people and they deserve our business. Also, lunch combo of sub, chips and drink is the best buy on the north shore! Just my two cents...
Moose water was pretty clear, no current from 13' out to channel. High baro yesterday falling today fished till it rained same results lookers no takers the perch I did catch seem to be smaller. People I talked to had same results. I think it's just the late Jan early Feb lul. Bite will pick up in March.
Has anyone caught brown trout out of oneida before Chase I did yesterday
