Was out about a week ago. No luck. It did feel early. Will try again this week. Getting to be mid to late February something should start happening. ( NW Ontario)

Yes, a bit early for here, too.  Last week of February is when we usually get serious.

You and Cory going?  Be sure one of you try this dropped-hook rig with a piece of pike skin attached.

It really works, and not just on burbot.  Lake trout, pike, and big whitefish all hammer it.

Likely just me. Cory is away at trade school. I will try the pike skin. I used a similar rig last winter with good results.
