Eskimo propane auger oil leak
« on: Jan 19, 2017, 07:59 PM »
Hey all.  I have a new Eskimo HC 40 propane auger.  Drilled about 75 holes with it this year.  Had it out last night and didn't notice anything wrong.  I always store it as the instructions say. Just went out to move it and about half the oil has leaked out onto the floor.  I can't see any disconnections or breaks.  The auger starts but didn't try rev it up.  Any ideas?
My gear:

Marcum LX-9
Otter XT Cabin
Frabill Bunker 310
10" Eskimo propane HC40

First thing you need to do is find the source of the leak. Check for a loose fill cap . Something could have vibrated loose. Fill it back up to the correct level with correct oil . Clean any oil off good , and check for leaks. Then you can make a repair plan once you find the leak
