What kind of pole has regular eyes, and a roller eye at the end?? they are 10' poles... any clue?? i have seen poles with all eyes, and all rollers, never one with eyes, then a roller at the tip?? thx -moose

My stand-up boat pole for salt water is set up like that
use it for sharks and small tuna

As a guess I would say it is for use with "wire line" maybe for lakers? Apparently you need a roller at the end of the rod to keep the line from kinking as a kink will really screw things up when fishing DEEP for lakers. At least that's what I learned on TV last Sunday

figured, i could use it for a down rigger pole with some lead core line... use it trolling quabbin maybe? -moose

there is also a tip called a "twilli tip" that is used for wire. i have seen them used on lake erie more than the roller tip but i think either will work

they use a roller tip because spider and wire line groves the regular tiptops and are designed for wire your welcome.
