Been wondering the same thing. Fished it 4 times last season and did ok. Gotta sift thru alot of small 7-9" perch to get to the 10-12" but they are there. Not to mention the occational 5-6 lb trout.

Just found this site and had to sign up!! hellz ya!

I will be there wednesday morning and will post a report when I get back . Most people I have talked to are catching around 40 perch per day . If anyone is down that way  you are more than welcome to use my power auger to punch your holes . I will be in a Quick Flip 2 with a 4 wheeler . Curt G.

You won't even know its there . On some trips I pull it by hand . If I am not going very far . If you get one put some ski's under it to protect the bottom . I have holes in mine from draging it all over the lake . I just bolted a couple of down hill ski's to it and it pulls very easy in deep snow . Curt G.

Curt, how much ice was there? and where abouts did you fish from the boat ramp? i usually fish out towards the main res where it kinda narrows down some just before the main res. by the rocks.

I tried straight out from the boat dock about 60 yards . One of my buddy's did well there the night before . I caught one in two hours . So I moved to the rock point south of the south boat dock where I have done well in the past . Not one bite . I think the weather had more to do with the poor fishing than anything eles . Curt G.

On the 9th we fished for 4 hours or so and caught 3 small perch.  I also think that the cold snap in weather had something to do with the bite.  The week before we got 60 or so perch.

Went back to sportsmans Park Friday , must have been 100 people on the ice . One guy drove a full size Chevy Blaze out to one of the permenate Ice Shany's . I had allot of bites I couldn't hook . I kept 9 perch from 7"to 10.5" . A nice day on the ice . Curt G.

Noticed in your posts that you refer to area by the dam--thats ok for trout, but if you're after perch, sportsmans park by aberdeen is a much better bet--more structure, etc.
