Mark & I fished on Wednesday 12/14 from 2:45 to 4:30 in Sparta. We did ok one pickerel about 3 pounds & Mark lost a big bass at the hole. We jigged up about 20 perch keeping 10 there was 4 1/2 inches of ice. Here is my son with one of the perch

With the rain last night & today, we will not be fishing tomorrow. We will have to wait for next weekend when it's safe again

I think you are right though .... waiting for next weekend for safer ice is going to be a good bet.

I checked the ice before I went to work today it had about 1/2 to 1 inch of water on the ice

Yea but once the temp dips below freezing tonight that is going to become ice.

Long time no talk to. How is everything? Yes it will freeze back but will it be safe

?? We could have lost 1/2 last night & today & you might have week spot's . That is why I say next week will be good.

Not to be mean I will have to let you know. My friend Don is coming up to fish on Sat . I only have two guest badges. Therefore, if Bob, Don, or Mark does not go then you can come. Sorry AJ I'll let you know on Friday. I'm only fishing until 12:30 Giants game is on at 1:00. If not Monday we are going all day to NJ or NY

about $35 to $40. If you want to fish up the camp in NY you'll need one. So you should get it.

A private lake that I live on. It's a lot of BS but it's a good lake to fish

I figured it was a private lake .... i didnt know they gave out badges and/or you had guest badges when fishing it though.

Thats kewl though .. because you have a good lake that is well regulated and hopefully will be forever producing a good fishery for you and you son !

The badges are for the Swiming/The beach club house,Fishing ,Boating,. We even need stickers on are car's .If you don't have one on your car . Some people around the lake call the cop's & have your car towed. The fishery has been very good & my son love's going down to the lake. Maybe we can get together & fish one day. If you are ever up by me.

Well u cant blame the people I guess for wanting to insure there private lake is only for those people that belong to the community and pay there dues .. so i can see them getting in an uproar when they see a car parked without the appropriate credentials.

Privatize the lake .. thats the best way to enforce trules and restrictions to keep it a lake that YOU WANT TO go to !
