The warm weather in February is nice, but then it thaws the ice and fishing is lost until ice off.  So I guess one has to choose which they want - ice fishing or warm weather.

I've seen enough snow and cold for one year. Tired of trapping minnows under the ice. I for one am ready to see the ice off and boats coming out again.

The shovel hasn't been real active down Cheyenne way. Winter always seems long this time of year.  After 20 years in Alaska and 15 years in northern Minnesota and Wisconsin winters are pretty mild by comparison in these parts, can't complain at all.

This statement is a gimme, you could put allmost anything in there saying,I would rather be fishing than (whatever)most of the time for most all of us,allthough I can say since I got my new snow blower it is alot more enjoyable blowing snow than shoveling. But still I would rather be fishing

I had Presidents Day off. I was all packed up and ready to fish when the boss called and said "snow removal."  Went to work to find 1/3 of the crew did not answer their phones. Love those guys and shoveling...but I love seeing flags in the snow more.
I also had a partner that day who bailed before the boss called. He said it was snowing sideways. The snow was so fine it changed direction when you farted. He said he'd give me "props" for fishing in that. Saturday was the day to be giving "much props" around here.
