Adapter shaft for Finnbore auger
« on: Jan 25, 2012, 01:29 PM »
Help.  I just received my new 6" Finnbore III from Fish 307.  I also bought an adapter shaft, which is what I presumed I needed to operate the auger with my cordless hand drill.  One end of the shaft fits into the auger but the opposite end just has a round 3/4" shaft coming out of it, which is too large to fit into the chuck portion of my drill.  Maybe I'm just dense and not doing what I need to do but how is the shaft supposed to fit into the drill?  Do I have the wrong part, the wrong drill or am I just being stupid?

Thanks Ise.  I just bought one just like it on Ebay for about that price with free shipping.  Hopefully the guy ships immediately, even though we don't have enough ice to concern me about the depth or drilling times by hand.
